A pocket knife should always be with you and work when you need it most. That’s exactly what the folding knives in our lineup stand for: sturdy one-handed knives that are manufactured in Solingen and are authorized to bear the legally protected SOLINGEN® seal. Whether as a reliable everyday companion (EDC), a tool for outdoor activities and bushcraft, or a rescue knife for professional use—here you’ll find pocket knives that build on decades of Solingen’s cutlery tradition and modern knife design.
“Made in Solingen” is not just a label for us—it’s a promise. The Solingen Ordinance—unique worldwide—allows the use of the name “Solingen” only for cutlery that undergoes all essential manufacturing steps locally. Our pocket knives are manufactured entirely in Solingen, in close collaboration with manufacturers we know personally. Behind every folding knife are people who practice their craft with precision and passion—and you can tell by the workmanship, durability, and longevity.
For fire departments, emergency medical services, the THW, and anyone who needs to act quickly in an emergency, we carry the proven PRT (Police Rescue Tool) series. These pocket rescue knives combine a sharp one-handed blade with an integrated seatbelt cutter for safely cutting through seatbelts and a glass breaker at the end of the handle. Models such as the PRT I, the PRT II Firefighter, or the PRT-VI LEO can be safely opened and carried ready for use—even while wearing gloves—thanks to their liner lock with safety stop and a pants clip (tip-down).
A large portion of our pocket knives are designed by the renowned knife designer Dietmar Pohl and manufactured by Eickhorn Solingen. The Secutor and Provocator models, featuring a sharp recurve blade and non-slip G-10 scales, meet the requirements of special operations forces, but also perform well as high-quality everyday one-handed knives. The C.S.A.R. (Combat Search and Rescue) combines a newly designed spear-point blade with a partial serrated edge, a belt cutter, and a glass breaker—an uncompromising utility knife for demanding tasks.
Not every pocket knife has to be a heavy tool. The Para II from Eickhorn weighs only about 49 g and can be carried discreetly as a backup or neck knife—compact, durable, and easy to use even while wearing gloves. For collectors, however, our folding knives are more than just everyday tools: they tell stories of tradition, innovation, and attention to detail.
For a pocket knife to cut reliably for years, the right materials are essential. Many of our blades are made of Böhler N695 stainless steel (approximately 58 HRC)—known for its excellent edge retention and ease of resharpening. For the handles, we rely on durable G-10, anodized AlMg3 aluminum, and robust coatings like Kalgard, which provide a secure grip even when wet. Experienced master craftsmen work hand in hand with modern precision manufacturing—tradition meets innovation.
We offer only genuine products directly from Solingen—no imports with a “Solingen” label simply stuck on. In addition, we provide fast processing (“order today, shipped tomorrow”), free shipping within Germany on orders of €70 or more, purchase on account, and Trusted Shops buyer protection. Note on Carrying (Section 42a of the Weapons Act): One-handed knives may be purchased and possessed. Legal requirements apply to carrying them in public—if in doubt, carry the knife in a locked container. For details, see our FAQ.
