Half-timbered chef's knife Vitruvius

The wide and strong 21 cm long blade of our Fachwerk chef's knife can be used universally for cutting meat, fish and vegetables, making it a real all-rounder. The balanced design of the blade and handle area makes cutting easier and reveals its haptic qualities

Our Vitruvius knives are a tribute to the Roman architect "Vitruvius", who invented the half-timbered construction method in 33 BC. The smoked oak handle scales symbolize the oak beams used in half-timbered houses. The high-quality integrated logo gives our Vitruv knives a noble and unmistakable character. The handle scales are permanently attached to the tang with three stainless rivets, which guarantees extreme durability. The individual grain of the smoked oak makes each knife unique.

  • Over 40 work steps - from forging to hardening, grinding and assembly, our traditional hand-forged quality knives are created.
  • 58° Rockwell - Each blade is hot forged from a single piece of special Solingen stainless steel and then hardened to approx. 58° Rockwell.
  • 14° grinding angle - The blades are ground by hand on a special grinding belt at an angle of approx. 14° on each side and then honed and polished. This results in extreme sharpness and high cutting ability along the entire length of the blade.
  • Well-balanced - The so-called bolster serves to optimize the balance of our Vitruv knives and prevents the hand from slipping into the blade.
