    Bread knife from Solingen

Our bread knives from Solingen feature forged blades with a precise serrated edge for a clean cut through a crispy crust without crushing the soft interior. You can choose from models by Solingen Herder (Eterno series, blade lengths 20–32 cm, handles made of plum or olive wood) as well as the Güde Kappa series in 21 cm and 32 cm.

For professional and restaurant use, the Eterno Gastro—with a 20-cm blade and a non-slip Profigrip handle—is ideal for continuous use with either hand. For home use, we recommend the Eterno models with a warm plum wood handle (22 cm) or the more elegant olive wood version.

All bread knives are forged in Solingen and bear the SOLINGEN® seal of quality as proof of origin. The serrated blade ensures even pressure distribution while cutting and protects the crumb—ideal for sourdough breads, baguettes, and crusty country breads.

In terms of price, the lineup ranges from the entry-level Profigrip model (starting at €28.50) to the Güde Kappa series in the premium segment (up to €239)—offering the right German-made bread knife for every need.

Solingen is known worldwide for its high-quality knives. Knives from Solingen guarantee excellent workmanship, sharpness and durability, which is achieved through traditional manufacturing methods.

Regular sharpening with a sharpening steel, careful cleaning by hand and drying the knives are essential for maintenance. Avoid cleaning high-quality knives in the dishwasher, as this can damage the materials.
